PSL Monthly Awards: Relebohile Mofokeng Wins Player of the Month as Miguel Cardoso and Glody Lilepo Shine

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has officially announced the latest Betway Premiership monthly award winners, recognising outstanding performances on the touchline and on the pitch.

Mofokeng Claims Player of the Month

Relebohile Mofokeng has been named Betway Premiership Player of the Month after a string of influential displays for Orlando Pirates.

After fighting his way back into the starting line-up, the exciting forward quickly re-established himself as a key figure in Pirates’ attacking play and their push in the title race.

Across six matches, Mofokeng registered three goals and three assists, underlining his growing maturity in the final third. He also walked away with three consecutive Man of the Match awards — a clear reflection of his impact and consistency during the period under review.

At a time when Pirates needed inspiration, the youngster stepped up.

Cardoso Beats Ouaddou and Hunt to Coach of the Month

On the bench, Miguel Cardoso was named Coach of the Month after guiding his side through a strong run of results.

Cardoso edged out tough competition from Abdeslam Ouaddou of Orlando Pirates and Gavin Hunt of Stellenbosch FC.

The Portuguese mentor’s tactical discipline and ability to grind out results proved decisive in the judging panel’s decision, as his team maintained momentum in the league campaign.

Lilepo Bags Goal of the Month

Despite enduring a difficult run of form as a team, Kaizer Chiefs had something to celebrate.

Attacker Glody Lilepo scooped the Goal of the Month award for his stunning cross-cum-goal against Marumo Gallants.

What initially looked like a dangerous delivery into the box ended up sailing over the goalkeeper and into the back of the net — a moment of individual brilliance in an otherwise challenging spell for Amakhosi.
